Government has been called upon to tarmack the road connecting from Nakakole in Mbale all through to Pallisa via Butebo. The Chief Executive Officer Keddi Foundation Stephen Keddi says 90 percent of traders and farmers use the road to transport merchandize to the market. Keddi however says it will take leaders to apply proper lobbying strategies something he intends to do when he gets to Parliament in 2026.

Former State Minister for Agriculture Christopher Kibanzanga is appealing to government to come to the aid and rescue of Saturday accident victims in Bundibugyo District. This follows the breakdown of the area ambulance resulting from another accident during the evacuation of victims for medical intervention. Kibanzanga wants government to aid victims in terms of burial expenses for the deceased and settling medical bills for the injured.

The National Agricultural Research Organization, NARO, has unveiled new varieties of pasture and Beans at Buginyanya Zonal Agriculture Research institute in Bulambuli district. The new bean varieties are rich in iron and zinc and are good for breastfeeding mothers and children suffering from malnutrition. The Energy Ministry is reorganizing the mining sector to add value to all minerals extracted in the country after the government banned the exportation of minerals in raw form. The government is setting up processing plants in various places where various minerals are extracted by artisanal miners and new technology. It is estimated that Uganda has gold deposits worth 12 trillion dollars, according to the Ministry.
