The Microfinance Support center has blamed the collapse of many Saccos in the country on poor leadership by the managers and corruption. The Red Cross is urging farmers in Kyotera to exercise more care in disposing of the carcasses of cows that die from Anthrax. This follows a call by district authorities to prevent the production of beef and other cow products for human consumption to curb the spread of the disease, which also affects humans. Authorities reported an Anthrax outbreak in September, with the disease claiming 18 lives among those who consumed this beef. A mammoth of People from all corners have flocked the Mengo Palace to attend the Buganda Kingdom’s end of year event organized by the Kingdom radio known as ‘Enkuuka’. The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II was represented by his Lubuga Nnaalinya Agnes Nabaloga who opened for Kabaka’s people the new year 2024. In his message read delivered by Lubuga Nabaloga Kabaka directed youth to maintain the spirit of togetherness and heard working in 2024. Gathering of people have stormed Mengo Palace to attend the Kingdom’s end of year known as ‘Enkuuka’ and witness as Kabaka open for them the new year.
