Sasakawa Africa Association has urged stakeholders in the agricultural sector to bolster value addition interventions, aiming to achieve increased income for smallholder farmers. This call was issued by Ethiopia Tadesse, the Head of Communication and Advocacy at the association, during the annual inspection of farmers implementing Sasakawa's strategic models.

The Ministry of Agriculture has officially designated January 5, 2024, as the nationwide harvest date for vanilla. State Minister for Agriculture, Fred Bwino Kyakulaga, announced that the harvest season will extend for three months, concluding on April 5, 2024. Five detainees narrowly escaped death this morning as fire engulfed Mutungo Police Station in Nakawa Division, where they were being held. The fire is believed to have started in the office of the Officer in Charge before spreading to other parts of the building. Ugandans have been told to desist from undermining the Country’s potential at the expense of socio – economic progress. This is said to be tantamount to selling the Country to enemies and foreign detractors of progress which undermines potential to advance Uganda’s economic ability.
