The Ministry of Health, in conjunction with the Korean Foundation for International Health, is training and equipping medical workers at Masaka Regional Hospital with advanced skills in assessing severe injuries of traumatized accident victims in the first 60 minutes shortly after being brought to the hospital emergency unit. Masaka Hospital is one of the hospitals on Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara highway, and for years, especially during festive seasons, it has been receiving dozens of accident victims which requires special training to handle such cases. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda

Oil prices edged up on Monday to rise more than 3% as mounting attacks by the Iran-aligned Yemeni Houthi militant group on ships in the Red Sea disrupted maritime trade and raised concerns of supply disruption. Brent crude futures were up 3.7%, to $79.37 a barrel earlier today, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose $2.44, or 3.4%, to $73.87. Oil giant BP has announced it is pausing all shipments of oil through the Red Sea after recent attacks on vessels by Houthi rebels. According to experts, if disruptions continue, prices will climb further. The Red Sea is one of the world's most important routes for oil and liquid natural gas shipments, as well as for consumer goods. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda

The Executive Director of the National Environment Management Authority NEMA is urging every Ugandan to step up the fight to control dangerous gases emitted into the air from old fridges and outdated air conditioners, to protect the ozone layer. This destruction of the Ozone layer is bound to lead to ailments, like skin diseases, cancer, sunburns, cataracts, quick aging, and a weak immune system. The call comes at a time when the Montreal Protocol continues to invest money into developing countries to protect the Ozone layer. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
