“People of good health are people who will produce economically to help the country rise up” says Mrs. Bella Henderson. Mrs. Henderson states how primary health has developed greatly in the country, the proliferation and construction of clinics has helped to bring healthcare closer to those in need, alongside many other positive implementations. Mrs. Henderson has confidence that these changes are due to the vision of a government knowing what is important for the health of its people.
Mrs. Marie-Therese Hossen talks about how SPPF ‘democratized’ the education system and made secondary level education available for most of the children of Seychelles. “Everyone that I know realizes that the progress we have made as a country is through the work of United Seychelles” explains Mrs. Hossen.
Mr. Vincent Meriton shows his appreciation towards ‘visionary’ Mr. France Albert Rene, who inspired certain policies in relation to SPUP’s manifesto, which promoted human dignity, free education, free health care, free social aid and a program for affordable houses for those in need. “Today Seychelles is looked upon as a reference in many different domains in society” says Mr. Meriton
