Ms. Sylvette Pool conveys her inspiration that Mr. Albert Rene initiated on her through his speeches when bringing forth the principles of the party. Ms. Pool firmly believed that there had to be a transformation in Seychelles and felt the need to contribute to said cause. Ms. Pool is proud that in today’s day and age, it is by the grace of SPUP, that women have the opportunity to work in high positions and play an important role in our society.

The veteran party supporters give an overview of how it all started 60years ago, when the party was formed. Mr. Raymond Clarisse SNR talks about the difficulties of life in 1964 just before Mr. Albert Rene introduced his upcoming political party, SPUP, to establish independence for Seychellois. Ms. Ireine Andrew also expressed her contentment for Mr. Rene helping not only her, but many others, open their eyes and remove them from poverty and corruption.
