After the decline of cotton farming in Lango when the value significantly fell, Lango remained without a stable cash crop.   The emergence of cocoa growing in the area has brought a renowned hope to the local leaders who have agreed to promote the high value crop to fight poverty in the region.

The Resident City Commissioner of Kawempe division Hajji Nuhu Mbabali has urged all Youths in Kawempe division to put aside their political differences and unite for development through enrolling in government empowerment initiatives. This was in a message conveyed by his deputy Jennipher Ssanyu Nassimbwa at a Youths day celebrations held in Kawempe.

Physically Handicapped primary seven candidates from the Kampala school for the physically handicapped have received therapeutic and scholastic materials as they prepare themselves for their final exams. This was given to them by I & M bank an initiative aimed at soothing vulnerable communities.

Hundreds gathered at Zoe grounds in Kigo to launch the 12 weeks of charity starting with parts of Kampala with hopes of spreading to other parts of the country.. 2000 families received food items that would feed them for at least a month.
