Australia will today mark 10 years since the downing of MH17 over Ukraine. The Malaysian Airlines flight was travelling from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down 50 kilometres from the Ukraine-Russia border. Rio Tinto has received approval from the Guinean and Chinese governments to develop the $34.3 billion Simandou iron ore project in West Africa. Production is expected to begin next year.
