Sky News host Andrew Bolt has discussed the UK’s general election last week with writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue. Labour won around 34 per cent of the national vote, while the Conservative Party secured nearly 24 per cent of that number. “A huge win for Labour, but with huge danger,” Mr Bolt said. “This is a Labour government under new Prime Minister Keir Starmer that was voted in by just only 20 per cent of British voters.”

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer's majority win last week during Britain’s general election was built on “quicksand”. Labour won around 34 per cent of the national vote, while the Conservative Party secured nearly 24 per cent of that number. “If you actually look at the statistics behind this election they're quite devastating for Keir Starmer and it's quite frustrating for him to know that his own personal popularity is so low,” Ms Krakue said. “So the real story here is not that the Labour Party won but the Tories lost, I mean the Tory vote just collapsed.”

Gwyneth Paltrow has been making headlines following rumours a celebrity pooped in her bed while staying with her in the Hamptons and fled the scene afterwards. ‘To Di For’ podcast host Kinsey Schofield joined Sky News host Danica De Giorgio to discuss the pooping disaster and PR crisis the socialite faces following the incident. “Now the internet is flooded with headlines saying did someone really poop in Gwyneth Paltrow’s house and what should the guest who pooed in Gwyneth Paltrow's bed do now?” Ms Schofield said. “I think from a PR standpoint we're asking ourselves if he pops up on a red carpet too soon would he be considered shameless, but if he disappears for too long would that make him look guilty or be all anyone associates him with? “So good luck to that PR firm, talk about crisis management.”

Liberal MP Aaron Violi discusses how the Labor government has been too focused on internal party matters. "We've seen consistently with this government that they haven't been focused on the cost of living and the economy," Mr Violi told Sky News Australia. "We've seen for the last two weeks, and realistically since the budget, the Prime Minister and other senior ministers have been focused on internal matters, internal Labor Party matters, and Senator Payman is at the front of that, and that's what their focus has been on."

US President Joe Biden was seen looking “dazed and confused” during a church ceremony in Pennsylvania on Sunday. The oldest-ever sitting president attended the Sunday church service in Harrisburg as he attempted to salvage his re-election chances. Biden’s ceremony attendance comes as he faces escalating calls from Democrats for the 46th president to step aside. The 81-year-old’s campaign stops in Pennsylvania, considered a battleground state, were meant to ease the pressure. Despite a warm reception from the Black church, Biden did little to quell those concerns about his mental acuity. According to a source close to Reuters, House Democrat Hakeem Jeffries held a leadership call on Sunday. As reported by Reuters, the call led to some House Democrats calling for Joe Biden to step down as president.

Former Prime Minister John Howard says the recent UK election is “obviously a disappointment” for the Conservative Party. “You’ve got to guard against overanalysing election results,” Mr Howard told Sky News Australia. “There’s a pattern after a party has been in power for more than a decade, it becomes increasingly hard to get re-elected and that’s the main reason I think people wanted a change,” Mr Howard told Sky News Australia. Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer claimed victory on Friday after a landslide win in the UK general election.

Former Prime Minister John Howard says there is “growing worry” about US President Joe Biden’s “capacity”. President Biden has faced widespread scrutiny following the recent first presidential debate against Donald Trump. Pressure continues to build on Joe Biden to withdraw from the race amid a series of recent public gaffes and after his debate performance. “I think it will work its way towards a situation where it would be very hard for him to carry on,” Mr Howard told Sky News Australia. “I think it does highlight the imperfections of the presidential system. “You’re talking about the most powerful position in the world. “It’s very difficult when the likely choice is between people whose cognitive capacity is under increasing inspection … and somebody who in the case of Trump … would not leave the field when the umpire’s finger went up.”
