The Coalition, if they win the federal election, must come out and say the ABC will be turned into a subscription model, says Sky News host Rowan Dean. “Only then will those people be held to account,” Mr Dean said. “It’s time to call an end to the fiasco. “Australians should be furious that we are paying a billion dollars for those clowns every year – put them on a subscription model, then you’ll see what they’re really worth.”

Foodbank Australia Chief Executive Brianna Casey says there is “no tax incentive” for grocery manufacturers to donate surplus products to the Foodbank. “We have been calling for a number of years for a tax incentive for our hardworking farmers, our food and grocery manufacturers, our small business transporters who want to do the right thing and donate surplus product to Foodbank, but right now there’s a cost to them to do that,” she told Sky News Australia. “There’s no tax incentive to be able to facilitate more donations, more transportation of these essential products.”
