The drug Xanamem targets the production of the stress hormone Cortisol. Actinogen Medical believes the once-a-day pill could also have similar effects on different types of dementia, such as Lewy Body.

Australia’s Ambassador to the US Kevin Rudd has finally broken his silence on the relationship between Australia and America. It comes as Mr Rudd has been facing calls to step down from his role after a series of videos emerged of him criticising US President-elect Donald Trump during his first term in the White House. “Australia and the United States share a close and special friendship. The article reported that other countries should look at the way the Australian government has managed China in recent years. “I don’t subscribe to the China Daily, I can confirm that,” Mr Albanese said when questioned about the article. “I’ve seen some of the reports from it but we stand up for Australia’s national interest. “The improvement in trade between Australia and China is about Australian jobs.”

The Labor Party’s fee-free TAFE proposal will be debated in the House of Representatives and if successful the legislation will guarantee 100,000 free TAFE places per year. Under the proposal, university and TAFE students in the outer suburbs of major cities will have access to new 'study hubs' which include free access to computers, high-speed internet and in-person academic support. More than 500,000 free TAFE positions have been delivered since the ALP came to government.
