The Manhattan jurors spent about 11 hours deliberating in total across two days. Mr Bragg has spoken out about former US President Donald Trump’s charges. "The only voice that matters is the voice of the jury," Mr Bragg said. "And the jury has spoken." Donald Trump spoke to the media shortly after the verdict was handed down and remained defiant in the face of being found guilty.

Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce has slammed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as “weak”. United States President Joe Biden has secretly given Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia with American weapons. They have been given permission to strike solely near the area of Kharkiv. Sky News UK US Correspondent Mark Stone says “what this is I think … it is adapting to a fast-changing situation on the ground it is now approaching the height of summer in Ukraine, that is the best time for Russia to be able to advance.”

Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger claims the ABC ratings have gone down "successively" due to the network's lack of impartiality. “No one who watches politics seriously thinks of the ABC as anything like impartial or independent,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray. “The bottom line is the ABC is not impartial, everybody knows that. That’s one of the reasons their ratings have gone down successively.”

Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger has hit out at ABC managing director David Anderson after he appeared before a Senate committee following controversial comments made by high-profile journalist Laura Tingle. Mr Kroger labelled the ABC boss a “cork in the ocean”. “David Anderson just proved once again in the senate today he's not up to the job of being managing director,” Mr Kroger told Sky News host Paul Murray.

ATA consulting Peter Kerr has discussed whether nuclear power should be part of Australians future energy mix in the move to net zero. “In Australia, I don’t see it financially stacking up given the advantages we have around renewable energy and gas,” Mr Kerr told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo. “And we’ve not got a big market. “I think the challenge is it’s a little bit of a distraction in Australia, it will take at least 20 years from the start to get something up so. “So look I don’t disagree with the premise I guess, what’s the harm in at least planning for maybe plan C, if you need it in 2050, well let's at least start now having those conversations.”

ATA Consulting's Peter Kerr has weighed in on why one of the largest energy companies has quietly shelved its plans for an offshore wind farm. Shell has quietly shelved plans for an offshore wind project in Victoria. The move is a massive blow to the state's target of generating 20 per cent of its energy from offshore wind by 2032. “I think there are two reasons, although Shell is one of the biggest energy companies in the world, they're not the leading offshore wind place,” Mr Kerr told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo. “So, they were probably beaten to the punch by some of the more experienced types. “The second one is that their CEO has recently made a big play about winding back some of Shell's renewable energy ambitions. “So, I suspect this project was marginal for them and became … for requirements.”
