Executive Council of Australian Jewry Co-CEO Alex Ryvchin has called out Macklemore for his record of having “disdain and utter disrespect” for Jewish people. “This is a guy who a few years ago was photographed dressed up in a caricature of a Hassidic Orthodox Jew,” Mr Ryvchin told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power. “This is someone with a record of having disdain and utter disrespect for the Jewish people. “It’s not surprising that he latches onto a cause such as this which has now become such a vessel for propagating more lies and more hatred and more disinformation about the Jews.”

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has taken aim at the Coalition for saying “no to everything” over the past two years. “No to cheaper medicines, no to helping people with their power bills – no to tax cuts for every taxpayer,” the Prime Minister said during Question Time on Thursday. “On budget night this year, they said immediately – they haven’t seen the legislation yet – that they’re saying no to making more things here in Australia.”

This follows questions about Labor’s forecast for net overseas migration in 2022/23 being under by 293,000. “We’re on track to halve it by next year.
