Sky News host Caleb Bond says the historian who Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek took advice from had tried registering every river and creek in the Shire as an Indigenous site. “The historian who helped convince Tanya Plibersek … $1 billion gold mine – would destroy Indigenous heritage had earlier tried to register every river, creek, lake and swamp in the Shire as an Aboriginal site,” Mr Bond said. “This is the woman whose word Tanya Plibersek took over the local Indigenous people, over the EPA of New South Wales, over the Premier of New South Wales, over her own Indigenous advisors in her own department.”

Comedian Alex Stein has accused former Bachelorette star Josh Seiter of “playing a character” after earlier this year the reality television personality shocked fans of the franchise by coming out as transgender. “Josh is playing a character, but Josh is actually doing a very good job, in my opinion, showing how absurd it is that people can just identify as a girl for five minutes and start to use the women's restroom,” Mr Stein told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “Josh is just yanking our chain, as they say here in America. It is totally an act.”

Former first lady Melania Trump has teased her explosive tell-all memoir 'Melania' with a dramatic video. The former first lady hopes the book will clarify the facts about her life and service. Sky News host Rita Panahi joins comedian Alex Stein to discuss the upcoming memoir 'Melania'. “I think it would be very hard to be Melania Trump with all the unfair attacks because of her husband on her,” Mr Stein said. “So I'm excited to see what comes out in this memoir that'll give us an inside scoop of what it's like to be not only a beautiful woman who got overlooked for being on the cover of magazines while she was the first lady, but just to see what it's like, all the scrutiny she's faced.”

Comedian Alex Stein has weighed in on a bizarre rant that has resurfaced on the internet of Vice President Kamala Harris complaining about the colour of Starbucks cups. A video of Ms Harris during a speech at Spelman College in 2018 is doing the rounds on social media with the then-senator seeming preoccupied with coffee cups and what colour their lids are. “It's obvious that Kamala Harris doesn't like the colour white, you know, and I guess these lids aren't enough of a DEI hire for her, so she's going to go after Starbucks,” Mr Stein told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “It's kind of sad that this is what the potential free leader of the world is worried about, the colour of her coffee lid so that her lipstick doesn't show. “I just think that there are much bigger fish to fry than the shade of lipstick residue that's on her Starbucks.”

Sky News host Chris Kenny has called out Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth for her “infuriating hypocrisy” after she congratulated herself on the government's commitment to end violence against women and children. Ms Rishworth reaffirmed the government’s commitment to end violence against women and children during parliamentary Question Time on Monday. Mr Kenny said Labor scrapped the cashless debit card despite a report by the University of Adelaide sharing evidence which suggested the cards reduced the consumption of high-alcohol products and rates of alcohol-related violence. “More money, no idea. They always think more spending is the answer, and now that same minister gets all high and mighty and full of self-praise as she promises more spending to protect women and children across the country,” Mr Kenny said. “But the cashless debit card was one practical, working initiative that was already doing that. It was helping women and children, protecting them, and Labor scrapped it. Shameful.”

Sky News host Chris Kenny has accused Labor of using “bully boy tactics” against the Reserve Bank while the cost of living crisis grinds on. Last week Treasurer Jim Chalmers said the RBA's interest rate policies were "smashing" the economy but claimed there was no conflict between the government and central bank. “This is a transparent and unprecedented effort by Labor to shift the blame to the Reserve Bank for the state of the economy and the pain experienced by voters,” Mr Kenny said. “And it's also an obvious attempt to push the bank towards the interest rate decisions that Labor wants.”

Health insurers are fighting back against the private hospital operator Healthscope after the company and its US owner Brookfield launched a campaign targeting the insurers. The campaign came to light after Healthscope claimed insurers were not paying its fair share of hospital costs but health insurers have denied the remark. CEO of Private Healthcare Australia Doctor Rachel David told Sky News Australia no amount is “enough” despite Healthscope’s trillion-dollar relationship with Brookfield. “We are pretty disappointed that Healthscope has taken this action which is very aggressive,” said Ms David. “The health fund's first priority is the 15 million people in Australia that have private health insurance, most of whom are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and are struggling to afford household bills. “The funds that have been targeted in Healthscope’s campaign signed contracts with Healthscope very recently and what Healthscope has done with its’ trillion-dollar owner Brookfield is come back and ask for extra money. “It seems no amount is enough.”

The grandfather of accused Georgia school shooter Colt Gray has criticised the role of the teenager's father in the massacre. Charles Polhamus, Colt’s grandfather, slammed his son-in-law and said he should receive the death penalty for the shooting. The shooting by Colt left four people dead, including two students and two teachers, at Apalachee High School last week. Polhamus spoke to the New York Post over the weekend and asserted Colin Gray, Colt Gray’s father, should receive much of the blame. “Spending 11 years with that son of a b***h screaming and hollering every day — it can affect anybody. He’s evil. They couldn’t, they didn’t survive in it,” he said. The grandfather claimed that the teen shooter “has to pay for what he did” but “was driven” to do what he did by his father.
