Prince William could become the first British monarch in centuries to break ties with the Church of England when he becomes King. Royal biographer and commentator Angela Levin said Prince William is “not at all religious”, unlike the late Queen Elizabeth and King Charles. “He goes to church at Easter and Christmas, but he’s not really interested, and he doesn’t feel comfortable in a spiritual sort of place,” she told Sky News host Paul Murray. “So he’s thinking that when the time comes, he doesn’t want to be leader of the church, which is what King Charles does. “It will be the first time since Henry VIII wasn’t in charge of the religion of the country.”

Royal biographer and commentator Angela Levin says Meghan Markle “wanted to get her own back” on the late Queen when naming her daughter Lilibet. Ms Levin's comments come as a new book called Charles III: New King, New Court, The Inside Story, written by Robert Hardman, alleges that the Queen was "furious" after Meghan and Harry used her private nickname. Queen Elizabeth reportedly told Palace aides, "I don't own the palaces or the paintings, only my name, and now they've taken that." “People have said, oh well, you know Meghan wanted to be friendly, I think quite the opposite,” Ms Levin told Sky News host Paul Murray. “I think she wanted to get her own back, and I think this was number two, which followed the incredibly phoney, exaggerated curtsey that she did on Netflix.”

Royal biographer and commentator Angela Levin says King Charles is getting tired of Prince Harry's “moaning”. Ms Levin said Prince William and King Charles have become close due to “Harry, the upset and hurt”. “King Charles has … said he can’t keep listening to all this - he puts it into different sections in his brain. “So this is Harry arguing and moaning, but, actually, he’s got to get on and be king, and do what’s necessary. Ms Levin sat down with Paul Murray to discuss a new book called Charles III: New King, New Court, The Inside Story, written by Robert Hardman and what it reveals about the royal family.

Liberal Senator Claire Chandler says Australians have seen “so many failures” from the Albanese government because it has its “priorities absolutely wrong”. Thousands of jobs are at risk following the insolvency of nearly 1,650 manufacturing companies in the last six months. At the last election, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he wanted to bring manufacturing back to Australia. “I think the main reason we’re seeing a failure here is because we’ve seen so many failures of this government, and we know that’s because they have their priorities completely wrong,” Ms Chandler told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “In the lead-up to the last election, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was more than happy to say he was going to rebuild the manufacturing industry in Australia by the end of his first term of government. “We’re halfway through that term now and, on those numbers, our manufacturing industry is only going backwards – companies are leaving Australian shores, and we instead spent the first 18 months of the Albanese government talking about his failed Voice referendum. “This is another example of this government having its priorities absolutely wrong, and Australians are losing out as a result.”

Sky News host James Macpherson says the “real question” about why Queensland Premier Steven Miles acquired a hotel for social housing is “why are so many people homeless” in the state. The Queensland Government has acquired a hotel in South Brisbane, which is to be transformed into over 50 homes for people in need. The acquisition provides 20 two-bedroom units and 32 studio units. “I would not want to play Monopoly with Steven Miles because he is collecting hotels like it is nobody’s business,” Mr Macpherson said. “The real question is why are so many people homeless in Queensland.”

GB News Presenter Patrick Christys says the late Queen will be “turning in her grave” over Omid Scobie’s claims about recently revealed revelations about Harry and Meghan. A new book by Robert Hardman says Harry and Meghan’s claim they named their daughter Lilibet – the pet name of the Queen – in honour of her and with her approval is false. Omid Scobie has tweeted in protest, saying none of these Lilibet revelations are doing the late Queen Elizabeth II any favours as they contradict details shared by the Palace with a cooperatively written biography in 2022. “The Queen obviously – arguably the greatest ever living Brit in the world, best ever monarch – will no doubt will be turning in her grave over what Omid Scobie has to say,” Mr Christys told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “That guy lied about his age; he appears to have lied about the vast majority of his physical appearance as well … he’s had a very difficult relationship with the truth.”

IPA Deputy Executive Director Daniel Wild says big corporations are preoccupied with "devis woke issues". Mr Wild's comments come after Woolworths and Aldi announced they won’t sell Australia Day products this year. "There is no longer any diversity of opinion in corporate Australia anymore," he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. "We've seen that with the Voice to Parliament, we’ve seen it with Australia Day, we've seen it with climate issues as well. "Secondly, big business has all but given up advocating for policies which are in the national interest. "Now they are preoccupied with these divisive woke issues and it's no wonder why trust and confidence in big business and corporations like Woolworths is at an all-time low."

Andrew Carswell from the Headline Advisory Director says Donald Trump’s refusal to take part in Republican debates is “another master stroke” by the former US president. Mr Carswell’s comments come as Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley says she will no longer step on to the debate stage unless Donald Trump participates. “Another master stroke by Trump here,” he told Sky News Australia host Sharri Markson. “The last thing that Trump wants his sum equivalence between is candidates that he sees as deeply inferior, particularly as a former president himself. “He does not want to lower himself to a stage with minor players, particularly when the polls are substantially his way.”

The timing of the Chinese Ambassador to Australia Xiao Qian’s rare speech is “hard to overlook”, says Sky News political reporter Cameron Reddin. China’s Ambassador to Australia addressed a press conference at the Chinese Embassy in Canberra on Wednesday. “The timing of this speech is quite hard to overlook,” Mr Reddin told Sky News Australia contributor Steve Price. “Just four days after Taiwan’s presidential election. “While China and the ambassador are willing to compromise on a whole range of different issues … the issue of Taiwan is not one that China is willing to compromise on.” Beijing continues to recognise self-governed Taiwan as a breakaway province that will eventually be part of China, and have not ruled out the use of force to achieve their aim.
