Nurses will rally outside hospitals across New South Wales each day this week, with a total of 50 rallies to take place statewide. They are attending these rallies in their own time and are not walking off the job, so disruption to care is unlikely. Nurses are trying to get a one-year 15 per cent pay increase, a 30 per cent penalty rate on night shifts, 100 per cent salary packaging and increasing sick days to 20 days a year.
