Kumbaga ako po yung nagdedesisyon sa sarili ko. Siguro mga ano lang ako noon, 14 years old. Tapos madalas akong tumambay sa labas ng bahay namin. May nagyaya sa akin, sabi ko gusto kong ma-try. Tapos ayun na bisyo na pala hindi ko alam." Pero isang araw, nagising si Jiro sa bangungot at tuluyang hinanap ang liwanag. "Nasa stage na ako ngayon na one day at a time tapos nakukuha ko po yung tiwala ng family ko tsaka yung para sa recovery ko po. Ngayon po napangangalagaan ko yung sarili ko, hindi na ako gumagamit, kaya ko pong maiwasan," sabi niya. Sa ngayon, naglilingkod si Jiro bilang isa sa mga volunteer at co-facilitator ng rehabilitation sa Bataan kung saan din siya nagpagaling noon. "Pag umuuwi po ako ng Bataan,yun kasama po ako sa volunteer team nila doon na nag-aassist po sa mga bagong confine na residents, nagbibigay po ng mga testimonial, nagshe-share ng buhay 'pag may mga event," kuwento niya.
