According to China's state-run Global Times newspaper, Beijing wants the EU to scrap plans to raise tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles by 4 July. The European Commission has confirmed that technical talks will begin in Brussels this week. The EU had announced that it would impose duties of up to 38.1% on Chinese EVs, while an investigation takes place over "unfair subsidies".
