More car owners in Singapore are switching to electric vehicles (EVs). There are about 11,000 EVs on the roads, 40 per cent more than last year. But they only make up a small percentage of all cars on the roads. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is hoping for more donations this festive season, with cases of pets being abandoned doubling in the past year to more than 120 this year.
