Less than half of Singaporeans say they are financially prepared to deal with cancer. In a new survey of 1,200 people conducted by the National University Cancer Institute, Research for Impact Singapore and DBS Bank, results showed that less than a third of respondents are confident that their existing health or critical illness policies can cover cancer treatment costs. China has criticised a US-led coalition for "adding fuel to the fire" in the Red Sea and Middle East. North Korea said it has flight-tested its new solid-fuel intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM). It's believed to be much harder to detect and designed to strike remote US targets in the region. South Korea, Japan and the US have condemned the missile test. South Korea said the missile flew about 1,000km before landing in the waters between the Korean peninsula and Japan. Taiwan has lost another diplomatic ally, just two days after William Lai won the presidential election. The small Pacific Island nation of Nauru has severed relations with Taipei to re-establish formal ties with Beijing. Nauru said it would no longer recognise Taiwan as a separate country, but as an inalienable part of China. That leaves just 12 countries with formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
