Driving schools in Singapore are cracking down on a growing number of students who use bots to reserve and book lesson slots. Students caught using such bots could have their accounts suspended or terminated.
Singapore police are investigating a bullying incident after a video surfaced showing a pupil from Bukit View Secondary School being taunted and kicked to the ground. The incident happened in October 2023 and was not reported to the school at the time, according to the school's principal.
With more households installing solar panels, industry experts are urging consumers to check if their contractors are licensed to ensure safety. A cluster of public rental flats for persons with disabilities (PWDs) will be launched next year. The pilot is among plans by an inter-agency taskforce that is looking into how PWDs can live independently, with onsite support from community programmes and services. Plans from a multi-agency taskforce on promoting inclusive employment aim to place an additional 4,500 persons with disabilities (PWDs) with jobs by 2030. Led by the Social and Family Development Ministry, the group says the plans will push the employment rate of PWDs closer to the 40 per cent target by that year.
