La 60e Conférence de Munich sur la sécurité (MSC) s'est ouverte à Munich vendredi en mettant l'accent sur la nécessité de stimuler la coopération et d'améliorer la gouvernance mondiale. Dans son discours d'ouverture, le président de la MSC, Christoph Heusgen, a exprimé l'espoir que les participants recherchent des points positifs dans leurs discussions sur les défis urgents en matière de sécurité, dans un contexte de rivalité géopolitique et d'incertitude économique croissantes. Les conflits en cours, notamment la crise ukrainienne et le conflit entre Israël et le Hamas, seront abordés lors de cette conférence de trois jours. Le Secrétaire général des Nations Unies, Antonio Guterres, a dit dans son discours que l'ordre mondial actuel ne fonctionne pas pour tout le monde. "En fait, j'irais même jusqu'à dire qu'il ne fonctionne pour personne." La communauté mondiale est "plus fragmentée et divisée qu'elle ne l'a jamais été au cours des 75 dernières années", a-t-il dit, faisant remarquer que le monde est confronté au danger nucléaire, à la crise climatique et aux risques liés à l'intelligence artificielle.
