Hong Kong et Macao ont célébré l'année du Loong à travers des défilés et des danses du dragon. La parade de samedi à Hong Kong, qui a duré deux heures, a mis en scène neuf chars avec des artistes locaux et internationaux venus du Japon, d'Allemagne, des États-Unis et des Pays-Bas. À Macao, des centaines d'artistes ont porté un dragon doré de 238 mètres lors d'un défilé qui a traversé les principaux sites de la ville au son d'une musique festive et de pétards. China Media Group (CMG) a dévoilé samedi 18 prix lors de son gala annuel des séries télévisées chinoises. La série télévisée de l'année a été attribuée à "Blossoms Shanghai", une histoire sur la vie à Shanghai dans les années 1990. Douze autres productions ont également remporté le prix de la meilleure série télévisée de l'année. Il s'agit notamment de "The Knockout", qui traite de la répression des gangs par la police, et du "Problème à trois corps", basé sur le chef-d'œuvre éponyme chinois de science-fiction récompensé par le prix Hugo. Les prix du meilleur acteur et de la meilleure actrice ont été décernés à Rayza, Hu Ge et Ma Yili dans "Blossoms Shanghai", ainsi qu'à Zhang Songwen dans "The Knockout".
