Un nouveau livre bleu intitulé "Rapport sur les droits de l'homme et les protections juridiques au Xinjiang" a été publié mercredi à Urumqi. Rédigé conjointement par l'Université du Xinjiang et l'Université de sciences politiques et juridiques du sud-ouest de la Chine, le livre bleu a été officiellement publié lors d'un séminaire sur les droits de l'homme. Il comprend huit rapports à thème spécial, traitant respectivement de la protection des droits des habitants du Xinjiang dans les domaines du développement, de l'économie, de la culture entre autres. La Malaisie a interdit aux cargos battant pavillon israélien d'accoster dans chacun de ses ports. Les navires en route vers Israël sont également interdits de chargement dans les ports malaisiens. Le Premier ministre malaisien, Anwar Ibrahim, a annoncé le 20 décembre ce changement de politique, avec effet immédiat. Il a déclaré que cette mesure est une réponse aux actions d'Israël à Gaza, qui, selon lui, ne tiennent pas compte des principes humanitaires fondamentaux.
