Как сообщила пресс-служба главного управления разведки Минобороны Украины, в ночь на 1 февраля катер РФ занимался патрулированием у берегов Крыма в районе озера Донузлав, где получил повреждения, не совместимые с дальнейшим движением, дал крен и затем затонул. На предоставленном украинской стороной видео можно рассмотреть, как несколько беспилотных катеров целятся и попадают в корвет. Российская сторона пока не прокомментировала данную информацию.
