Le conseiller du président brésilien Celso Amorim a rencontré vendredi à Brasilia le ministre chinois des Affaires étrangères Wang Yi, en visite au Brésil, et les deux hommes ont mis en avant à cette occasion la coopération stratégique entre les deux pays. M. Amorim a déclaré que le partenariat stratégique global Brésil-Chine dépassait le cadre bilatéral et devenait un facteur d'équilibre important sur la scène internationale, propice à la paix et à la stabilité dans le monde. Face aux changements et aux chaos du monde actuel, le Brésil est prêt à renforcer davantage la communication et la coordination stratégiques avec la Chine et à élever à un nouveau niveau la coopération stratégique globale entre les deux pays, a-t-il ajouté. Le Brésil soutient fermement la position de la Chine sur la question de Taiwan et continuera à respecter le principe d'une seule Chine, qui a fait l'objet d'un consensus de la part des gouvernements brésiliens successifs et qui ne changera pas, a souligné le conseiller. M. Wang, qui est également membre du Bureau politique du Comité central du Parti communiste chinois, a rappelé que le Brésil a été le premier pays en développement à établir un partenariat stratégique avec la Chine et le premier grand pays d'Amérique latine à avoir fait évoluer les relations bilatérales vers un partenariat stratégique global. Les intérêts des deux pays sont étroitement liés et la coopération bilatérale dans divers domaines est depuis longtemps à l'avant-garde de la coopération entre la Chine et l'Amérique latine, jouant un rôle de premier plan. Il a remercié le Brésil pour son soutien ferme à la Chine dans la défense de ses intérêts fondamentaux, ce qui, selon lui, démontre pleinement l'importance du partenariat stratégique global sino-brésilien. La Chine est prête à profiter du 50e anniversaire de l'établissement des relations diplomatiques entre les deux pays pour approfondir la coopération bilatérale dans divers domaines et directions, renforcer l'alignement de leurs stratégies de développement et bâtir une communauté de destin sino-brésilienne, a ajouté M. Wang. Il a fait remarquer que le monde était entré dans une nouvelle période de turbulences et de transformations, marquée par une incertitude et une instabilité accrues. En tant que puissances émergentes indépendantes, la Chine et le Brésil doivent d'abord bien gérer leurs propres affaires, tout en renforçant l'unité, la coopération et l'ancrage d'objectifs communs afin d'assumer leurs responsabilités en tant que grands pays et de devenir des forces stabilisatrices cruciales dans un système multipolaire. La Chine soutient le Brésil à jouer un rôle plus important dans les affaires internationales et régionales et est disposée à travailler avec lui pour renforcer la coopération stratégique afin de mieux défendre les intérêts communs des pays en développement et de répondre plus efficacement aux défis mondiaux, a dit M. Wang.
