La Chine vient de lancer un nouveau satellite relais qui atteindra l'orbite lunaire. Le satellite Queqiao-2 a été propulsé à l'aide d'une fusée porteuse Longue Marche-8 depuis le Centre de lancement spatial de #Wenchang, situé dans la province de Hainan, dans le Sud de la Chine, tôt ce mercredi matin. La fonction principale du satellite sera de relayer des signaux et des données à la mission robotique Chang'e-6, dont le lancement est prévu avant le mois de juillet. Après son arrivée sur la position orbitale prédéterminée, le satellite Queqiao-2 effectuera des tests de communication bi-directionnelle avec la sonde Chang'e-4, connue pour son atterrissage en douceur sur la face cachée de la Lune en janvier 2019, une première mondiale.
