However, too many of the recommendations we follow turn out to be wrong, according to Dr. Marty Makary, chief of Johns Hopkins Islet Transplant Surgery. Makary told CBN News the medical establishment's blunders became apparent to many Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We are dealing with an epidemic of mistrust," Dr. Makary said. "Many of us were right when we were saying the schools should not shut out the kids for years, that toddlers did not need to be wearing a cloth mask for such long periods, that natural immunity was real, that the COVID vaccine booster in young healthy people lacked scientific support, that the Wuhan lab leak was the likely cause." JERUSALEM, Israel – On Monday, Israel launched Operation Northern Arrows, designed to allow tens of thousands of evacuated Israelis in northern Israel to return home. Part of that operation includes the most extensive bombing campaign since the 2006 Second Lebanon War, and it caused an exodus from southern Lebanon. Israeli warplanes carried out more than 1,600 strikes to destroy Hezbollah rocket launchers, drones, and UAVs in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi noted, "Essentially, we are targeting combat infrastructure that Hezbollah has been building for the past 20 years." JERUSALEM, Israel – Last week, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution essentially banning Israeli Jews from the biblical lands of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), including Jerusalem's Old City. All Jewish settlements there must be vacated within a year, along with all military forces in the West Bank and Gaza. Most Israelis consider the vote to be outrageous. Yet, legal expert Eugene Kontorovich tells CBN News such resolutions are part of a 50-year history of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel expressions at the U.N. Kontorovich called the resolution "a tactic to increase diplomatic pressure on Israel," and added, "It creates another window to beat up on Israel, and they're hoping there's going to be an administration in the White House that's ready to take stronger measures and to use this non-binding, legally irrelevant resolution as a cover, as an excuse."
