An 11-year-old was shot and killed while leaving an Isotopes baseball game in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 6, 2023. A key suspect and witness, Daniel Gomez, 26, came forward to investigators saying his friends Nathan Garley, 21, and Jose Romero, 22, noticed a rival gang member and began plotting an attack. When the trio left they allegedly tracked down the truck they believed belonged to the rival gang when one of the men shot 14 rounds into the truck killing an 11-year-old and paralyzing the young boy’s cousin.
