According to authorities in Kiryandongo, the area district local government advertised a vacancy for an enrolled nurse, and the would-be employee Rebecca applied for the job, before she was asked for a bribe, before she could get the job.She reported the matter to the police after she was denied the job, even after paying part of the bribe to Kaheru. National Drug Authority’s Intelligence & Enforcement team have ordered the arrest of a one Ronald Kibalya Nditusawa, a health worker at Kamuli Hospital, said to have attempted to make off with 12 boxes of anti retrovirals. The consignment contains 720 tins of ARVs (64,800 doses) clearly marked Government of Uganda Not for Sale, and the suspect was reportedly delivering these to a facility in Nansana, when he was arrested with three others.
