Heartbreaking footage shows a deer running through Altadena as a wildfire burns over 10,000 acres. The Eaton Fire near the foothill community of Altadena prompted evacuation orders in the San Gabriel Valley. It was one of four major fires burning Wednesday in Los Angeles County.

Lolita Lopez speaks with an Altadena resident who lost her home due to the Eaton Fire. Jennifer Schweitzer said she was at work Wednesday morning when a coworker alerted her that Altadena was being evacuated. Schweitzer and her family gathered what they could and took their dogs to the Pasadena Humane Society to board them.

Residents fought to save a home from raging wildfires that ripped through the Altadena, Calif., area using a garden hose and buckets of water. Multiple wildfires in the L.A. area have destroyed more than 1,000 structures and killed at least two people.
