A parole board decided unanimously Wednesday that Susan Smith should remain in prison 30 years after she killed her sons by rolling her car into a South Carolina lake while they were strapped in their car seats. It was the first parole hearing for Smith, 53, who is serving a life sentence after a jury convicted her of murder but decided not to sentence her to death. Under state law at the time, she is eligible for a parole hearing every two years now that she has spent 30 years behind bars. David Smith, the father of the two boys Michael and Alex, spoke during and after the hearing to say that it was the “right decision.” "I haven't seen any remorse from her," Smith said. "It's been such a tough 30 years for my family, for friends, loved ones near and far. But today, the committee made the right decision and denied her parole — at least for another 2 years." Jose Ibarra was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole on Wednesday in the murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia. Ibarra, 26, a Venezuelan man who came to the U.S. illegally, was convicted on three counts of felony murder and counts of malice murder, kidnapping with bodily injury and aggravated assault with intent to rape and “peeping tom.” In victim impact statements that followed the verdict, Riley’s mother and sister called Ibarra a “monster” and the “epitome of evil.” The murder of Riley became a flashpoint in the immigration debate earlier this year, after her case was invoked by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and other politicians. Presencial de la Policía Judicial en la casa de Nicanor Boluarte en el distrito de San Borja. Esta medida fue dictaminada el día de ayer por el juez Richard Concepción Carhuancho. Se ordenó ubicación y captura de Nicanor Boluarte para su ingreso a un penal por el caso de "Los Waykis en la sombra". Todo indica que el hermano de la presidenta, Dina Boluarte, habría sacado días de ventaja para su intervención.

EsSalud aseguró que han tomado las medidas para continuar con el funcionamiento de los servicios. "Reiteramos nuestro respeto por los derechos laborales de nuestros trabajadores y reafirmamos nuestra voluntad de mantener un diálogo abierto y contructivo", indicó el comunicado de la institución.
