'Absurd’ to have card surcharges as society moves cashless

Sky News host Sharri Markson says it is “absurd” to have surcharges on card payments as society moves cashless. $2.1 million dollars in funding has been announced by the Albanese government to crackdown on debit and credit card surcharges. Labor is prepared to ban these surcharges from 2026.
