'Ako po si Alice Guo,' ex-mayor insists despite matching Guo Hua Ping fingerprints
Despite being confronted with documents about her identity including matching fingerprints, dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo refused to confirm if she is Chinese national Guo Hua Ping, during a Senate panel's hearing on Monday (September 9). "Ako po si Alice Guo," she said repeatedly, claiming she has no recollection of affixing a signature which she confirmed to be hers on the document showing her fingerprints. She also insisted that she was born in Tarlac, not in China. Guo maintained that her father is Guo Jian Zhong, but denied that her mother is Chinese passport holder Lin Wen Yi. "Pasensya na kung hindi kayo naniniwala," Guo told senators, who then moved to cite her in contempt for "testifying falsely and evasively."
