'Australia stands with Ukraine': Albanese reiterates support following virtual world leade

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese joined a call with European and commonwealth allies on Saturday night, hosted by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Mr Albanese reiterated Australia's strong and steadfast support for Ukraine and restated that Australia will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. The leaders have agreed to continue working on delivering concrete actions to support Ukraine now and in the future. "Australia stands with Ukraine and we will continue to do so for as long as it takes. It is the right thing to do and it is in Australia's national interest,” Mr Albanese wrote in a statement, following the meeting. "This is a struggle not just for the people of Ukraine and their national sovereignty. This is a struggle for the international rule of law."
