'He's finished': Trump assassination attempt puts 'more pressure' on Biden

Former foreign minister Alexander Downer says Joe Biden is “finished” following the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. This comes after high profile Democratic officials called on President Biden to drop out of the race. “I certainly think the shooting of Donald Trump helped to concentrate the minds of the Democrats, because Trump handled it in a rather heroic way,” Mr Downer told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “I see he’s surging more in the polls. “So this will cause real panic now amongst the Democrats and so put more pressure on Joe Biden. “So, I think he’s finished, actually.”
