'No upsurge in respiratory illnesses'

There is no upsurge in respiratory illnesses outside of the norm for the season. This is according to Managing Director of Urgent Care Barbados, Dr. Bandele Majeks. He was responding to questions regarding a post on social media warning of an upsurge in respiratory viruses, pneumonia, and flu A&B. Noting the social media post did not originate with which he says is not attributed to his organisation. Further, Dr. Majeks says there are no extra precautions to be taken outside of the usual health hygiene heading back into school.
