'Out of touch': Regional NSW council's proposal to change Australia Day celebrations

Dubbo Regional Council in the Central West of New South Wales has received backlash over its proposed change to shift Australia Day celebrations from January 26. CSI Indigenous Forum director Warren Mundine slammed Dubbo Regional Council's proposed move of holding the Australia Day civic ceremony and event for Wellington on January 24 instead of January 26. Mr Mundine labelled the move “out of touch”.
