'Pesto' the chonky baby penguin becomes an internet sensation

A giant baby king penguin in Australia is making an impression on the internet and drawing hundreds of visitors to a popular Australia aquarium. Chocolate-brown and fluffy, the nine-month-old chick named Pesto weighs 23.5 kilograms — more than twice the combined weight of his parents. The brown coat keeps the young ones warm through winter, and they later lose weight as they develop adult feathers. Pesto is the largest chick Sea Life Melbourne has ever seen, and that has made him a hit with fans around the world.
