'Shock': Prince Harry drops high court libel claim

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue has weighed-in on Prince Harry withdrawing his libel case against the publisher Mail on Sunday. Prince Harry was suing the company over an article written in 2022 about his legal challenge to the UK's Home Office on their decision to change his security funding. The lawsuit was based on Prince Harry claiming the article attacked his honesty and integrity as well as being inaccurate. Ms Krakue told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo that the news of Prince Harry withdrawing from the case came as a shock as it was the day his legal team were supposed to submit evidence. "We don't understand why, obviously his not dropping the other cases against the newspaper groups for phone hacking and other claims of unlawful information gathering, but he has randomly dropped this case."
