'The region needs Liat'
Caribbean governments are willing to work with Antigua and Barbuda to get the new Liat 2020 off the ground. Chief of Staff in the Prime Minister's Office, Lionel Hurst says at least three countries are eager to participate. The countries were not identified during the post-Cabinet press conference. Antigua insists the region needs Liat. Antigua and Barbuda's government meanwhile, is in talks with the Barbados-based Caribbean Development Bank and Liat shareholders to acquire three aircraft.
