'Wanted to get caught’: Suspected UnitedHealthcare CEO killer behind bars
26-year-old Ivy League graduate and activist Luigi Mangione has been arrested after being recognised by a McDonald’s staff member in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Authorities have confirmed Mangione is a “person of interest” in the alleged killing of UnitedHealth Chief Executive Brian Thompson in New York City. Authorities said Mangione was carrying a ghost gun, fake ID’s and a handwritten document that speaks to the motivation behind the crime. Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro said, “In America, we do not kill people in cold blood to resolve policy differences or express a viewpoint.” “The real hero in this story is the person who called 911 at McDonald's this morning.” Fox News host Jesse Watters said, “It’s almost like he wanted to get caught”.
