'We need to stand with Israel': US Senator John Kennedy condemns Iran attack

Republican Senator John Kennedy has urged the US to fully support Israel against Iran and warns America cannot risk "turning the other cheek" to the threat. Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel over the weekend following an Israeli attack in Syria that reportedly killed two Iranian officers. Kennedy told Fox News on Sunday America must "stand with Israel" or Iran's going to come back to bite the US "in the neck". "We need to stand with Israel. It’s very clear. We’re not at war with Hamas, or Hezbollah or Yemen. Those are all surrogates for Iran," he said. "Israel is at war with Iran. Iran hates Americans. Iran hates Jews, Iran wants to kill Americans and Jews. And if we turn the other cheek to them, we’re going to get it in the neck."
