1 dead, 5 injured after vehicle crashes into ER at Austin hospital, officials say

A car crashed into a hospital’s emergency room in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, killing the driver and injuring five other people, including a child with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The car smashed into the lobby of the emergency room shortly after 5:30 p.m., fire officials said — the driver was pulled from the car and received CPR but died in the ER, authorities said.
