Eleven-year-old Jessie Olton is making a difference one t-shirt at a time to promote literacy, antiviolence and faith. And the Charles F. Broomes Primary School Student was able to transpose those very values in achieving success at this year's Barbados Secondary Schools' Entrance Exam and will be off to first choice Harrison College come September. The Deputy Head boy tells CBC News his business Jessie's Productions (J-Ppro) was inspired by a youtuber, and he credits his mother Tara Mayers for encouraging him to follow his dream. And he intends to build out his business as he goes on to secondary school. Ms. Mayers says when her son approached her about starting his business, she fully supported him. Going forward, Ms. Mayers says she will continue to Coach Jessie in the right direction as he builds out his business and balances school.
