11TH COHORT STUDENT'S LOAN SCHEME BENEFICIARIES: INCREASED NUMBERS OF FEMALES BENEFICIARIES 202

The Higher Education Students Financing Board has released the 11th cohort for the Student Loan Scheme, with over 1800 successful beneficiaries for the 2024/25 financial year. On Wednesday, the Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo, announced the results, highlighting the increased demand for the loans and the need for beneficiaries to take advantage of this opportunity. The Higher Education Students Financing Board has released the lists for the successful beneficiaries of the student’s loan scheme showing that out of the 6,661 applications received, 1,838 were successful This marks a tremendous increment in the number of applications received over the years. With most beneficiaries still in the repayment period, the board stresses the importance of hard work for timely refunding. 29 of the beneficiaries in this cohort are disabled.
