Health workers at Kitgum Hospital are working frantically to treat a 12-year-old boy who lost part of his hand to an explosive, suspected to be an abandoned tear gas canister. Marvin Oriba, a Primary Four pupil of Pandwong Primary School, reportedly picked up a tear gas canister that was reported abandoned near their home in Hilltop Cell in Pandwong Division, Kitgum Municipality. Oriba, who was in the company of three other kids, was playing with the explosive, thinking it was a toy. They reportedly removed it, causing it to explode and instantly shatter his right hand. Other parts of his body, including the thighs and stomach, sustained bruises. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
