13th batch of Chinese peacekeepers finishes mission, departs South Sudan

The troops are composed of engineering and medical units. The engineering unit completed more than 160 projects, including repairing three routes and bridges, renovating three airline hubs and rehabilitating more than 220 kilometers of roadway. The medical unit received and treated more than 1,600 patients and did more than 30 operations. In late October, all 331 peacekeepers of the 13th Chinese peacekeeping troops were awarded the UN peace medal.
