15 years of showing 'Love at Christmas'
One foundation is in its fifteenth year of showing love and Christmas spirit to children who are less fortunate. The Love at Christmas Foundation Charity Programme which held its annual Christmas Luncheon recently at Solidarity House, began in 2009 and has been helping children over the years around the Christmas time. The committee normally works alongside the Welfare Department to identify children who are less fortunate and every year they hold a luncheon as well as distributing gifts to the children to allow them to feel the Christmas and loving spirit. Speaking at the luncheon was Vice President Heather Bridgeman. She said the purpose is to allow children to know that there is someone out there who still cares and loves them. Bridgeman says the hope is to be able to put on more events like these and not only at Christmas time.
