16 Large Steelbands In Pan Semis
All sixteen Large Bands will progress to the National Panorama Large Band Semi-Finals on Sunday at the Queen's Park Savannah. The governing body for steelpan said the unique policy decision for the 2024 edition is in honour of the memory of the late Mr. Patrick Arnold, a former President of Pan Trinbago who was known for carrying all the large bands into the Semi-Finals. Pan Trinbago says to ensure transparency and fairness, all participating Large Bands were informed of the decision ahead of the Opening of the Score Sheets event on Wednesday morning. Topping the Preliminary round of judging is Republic Bank Exodus with a score of 278 points. bp Renegades and Massy All Stars both took second spot with 274 points each, closely followed by two South bands Heritage Petroleum Skiffle and NLCB Fonclaire with 272 points each. Desperadoes Steel Orchestra, First Citizens SuperNova and T&TEC Tropical Angel Harps all scored 270 points. The remaining eight bands are Shell Invaders, Hadco Phase 2, Nutrien Silver Stars, Proman Starlift, Siparia Deltones, NLCB Buccooneers, RBC Redemption Sounds and Harmonites Steel Orchestra.
